Chakras are whirlpools of energy inside the body which controls the flow of our energy. The chakras move in conjunction of our reaction to our life experiences. It opens and closes depending on what we are thinking and how we are feeling.
The Root Chakra can be found at the base of our spine. The chakra color is Red. The body parts that are linked to it are the lymph system, the skeletal system, the sacral plexus, the bladder and kidneys and the legs, knees and ankles. The nose is also part of it since it the main organ that has the sense of smell. The adrenal glands are also associated.
The Root Chakra corresponds to protection, survival, faith, money handling, home and career; the grounding, to remain in one place; and the capacity of a person to feed himself with things that can provide him contentment. It also mirrors an individual’s personal relationship with his mother and to Mother Earth. It shows what the person feels having his body connected with Earth.
The Root Chakra directs the earth’s energy to move up to the other chakra points of the body and helps a person stay grounded. The more a person is grounded, the bigger the chance of making the goals come to life and the motivation of becoming a better individual increases. If a person loses his connection from the earth, the healing energy from Mother Earth gets detached too. The person gets separated from the physical comforts that he want. The disconnection will make one a “victim”.
The Victim
An individual that has an imbalanced Root Chakra or the one who got disconnected from the earth is called “the victim”. The characteristics of the Victim are helplessness, fearfulness, and weakness. If an individual allows himself to become a victim, he is allowing his mind and body to get paralyzed. To survive physically and emotionally, it is necessary to ground and rejoin Mother Earth.
Many might have not yet realized that they are already a victim physically and mentally especially when they are facing stress and difficulties. Only if they take time to analyze their lives will they see that they have been carrying a load of anger, resentment, and frustration.
The Mother
An individual that has a well-balanced Root Chakra is called “The Mother”. The Mother embodies a person’s capacity to nurture and control the energy within with care and understanding. It is indispensable to have the Mother integrated in oneself because it will guide one to be cautious and respectful. It helps empower the feminine side of a person that can help increase one’s capacity to love- self-love, love to others, and love on life. Once the Mother was integrated within one’s self, the person stops relying his needs from his environment and learns to protect himself.
Balancing the Root Chakra
Grounding is vital in balancing the root chakra. The process involves visualization of the roots coming out of the Root Chakra, going down to the feet and burying themselves deep to the Earth’s core. Visualize yourself being one with Mother Earth, feel all her energy passing from the roots, to your feet, up to your root chakra point.
Visualize your chakra. It should be a bright, beautiful and flaming Red light. If there is a different color emerging from your root chakra, battle it by imagining more red energy is coming to cover your body. Once the right amount of red energy has been achieved, imagine it spinning like a whirlpool. Make it spin faster and fill it with more red.
Other techniques use different crystals and gemstones such as bloodstone, ruby, black tourmaline, garnet and obsidian. These are all believed to affect the root chakra. They can be can be carried whichever way a person wants, he may put it in his pocket near the end of his spine where the root chakra is located, he may also place it at the bottom of his feet, or convert it to a form of accessory.
These techniques that can heal the root chakra and save you from being a Victim to become a Mother instead will yield positive results once mastered. These can be done on a daily basis. The end result will surprise you as you see your experiences changing for the better
